Missouri State Visit

Drove 6 hours to see Nick and Sarah last weekend, and to stock Nick up with groceries. We also took in a movie called The Accountant, which I thought was pretty good.

Nick's Back at College

We spent this past weekend moving Nick into his new apartment at Missouri State. Naturally, I took the opportunity to take lots of photos with a wide angle lens that a friend is letting me play with:

Peeps at Prairieland

Local peep activity has gone up significantly since Alex and Nick returned from college for summer break. I took advantage of a large gathering at Prairieland recently by snapping lots of photos.

A Weekend with the Peeps

Nick was home last weekend, and that brought other peeps over to the house. It was great to chat and play cards, just like the old days.

With Nick back at school, this weekend is pretty quiet. Looking forward to Thanksgiving break.

Across Missouri and Back

Put a ton of miles on the van this past weekend. First, we drove down to SEMO to pick up Nick. Then we drove West across the Southern edge of Missouri to Springfield.

The 19th was Alex's 20th birthday, and so the four of us, along with our good friend Sarah, celebrated with some Firehouse Subs:

Michele and I have become empty nesters, now that Nick has left for college at Southeast Missouri State:

Our good friend Sarah stopped by to wish Nick well on the next chapter of his journey through life.

We spoke to Nick yesterday evening, and he assured us that everything is going well. He told us that yesterday morning his entire floor went to breakfast together, and today, he will be going cliff diving. 

Did he say cliff diving?

Wow, I guess the adventure has begun. I couldn't be more proud of this young man.

Alex Goes Back to College

Yesterday was move in day for Alex at Missouri State. He's excited for another good year.

His room looks like a very productive studying environment, which would probably be true of any room containing an Einstein poster.
