Party for Anna and Friends

When Anna graduated, an official party was not part of the original plan. But plans change, and yesterday her dad hosted a party for her and two of her friends. As one would expect, I didn't just go for the food, I also went for the photo opportunities:

2017 Graduation at U-High

Last weekend, my niece Jessica graduated from University High School in Normal, IL. If you've ever visited this blog before, you know very well that here, pictures always speak louder than words, and this post is no exception. Graduation Party

This weekend's graduation festivities came to a head at this afternoon's outdoor party. Luckily, the rain showers were minimal.

State Farm Classic

Today my niece's basketball team took home the girls championship trophy of the State Farm Classic. It was a very fun game to watch.

Dinner at John and Bei's

After seeing Kyle off yesterday, we headed over to John and Bei's for a post Christmas dinner and some family games. A great time was had by all.

Winter Fun

A small winter storm last weekend inspired some winter fun. Here are Alex and Nick sledding with cousins Jessica and Anna. John and I were on hand to record the event for posterity.

 

 

 

 

Cross Country - Meet #5

There was a small inter-city meet on September 4th, with Parkside serving as host. Our runners again did very well, here's the summary from the Parkside website:

"GIRLS SCORE: PJHS 31, CJHS 33, KJHS 74 & BJHS 110; BOYS SCORE: PJHS 16, KJHS 69, CJHS 72 & BJHS 97,. Logan Degroot won the boys race and was followed by Eric Gordon, Logan Abeling, Caleb Wiebenga, Peyton Scheuermann, Taylor Hallatt and River Gordon. The girls race had the follwing girls run in the top seven: Brooke Gordon, Brie Hines, Bailey Kerschieter, Lexi Modglin, Hannah Magnuson, Michaella Fowler and Kelsey Kinley."

The girls were led by Chiddix's Carly Pederson.

Our own Brooke Gordon finished second.

This race was a practice run for the big Parkside Invitational that took place this morning. There were 44 teams, so the competition was pretty fierce. I took alot of photos as usual, so, when I get some time, I'll post the best of them.

Summer Vacation - At The Movies

We decided to take in a movie while we were in Sioux Falls, I'll give you just one guess to see if you can figure out which one it was.
