Michele and I traveled back to South Dakota recently to celebrate the extraordinary life of my stepfather.

RIP Bruce, we'll never stop missing you.

Though somber, the occasion brought together many different people from many distant places, which allowed me to capture some of them with my camera:

Just Trying to Stay Warm

With temperatures dropping to record lows not seen since the Clinton administration, we're hunkered down just trying to stay warm. Seems 2014 is coming in like a lion, and its name is winter storm ION.

Thanksgiving 2013

This year's Thanksgiving celebration provided many great photo opportunities. The one above is a rare shot of me with all of my siblings, along with my Mom and Stepfather. These gatherings are rare, as our family is spread out over four States. More family shots are available by clicking here.

Sunday Afternoon

What a great Sunday afternoon we had. We grilled steaks, played basketball, threw frisbee, tossed a nerf football, did some skate boarding, and just had a great day. Not only that, but we also caught it on film with my new digital camera.

Blast from the Past

A couple shots in the backyard back in August of 2002. Sam was but a kitty, and Alex and Nick were barely out of toddlerhood, if there is such a term.

One of my Favorites

This photo qualifies as one of my all time favorites. I have posted it on the web before, and I will probably post it out here many times over the coming years. It captures perfectly a moment of absolute happiness for my entire family. I too was smiling as I snapped this one.

Sioux Falls in July

A visit to Sioux Falls in July provided many opportunities to gather with family and friends. We also took advantage of a chance to feed some buffalo out by Garretson.
