Picnic and Swinging

This may have been the last picnic at John and Bei's, since they'll be moving in a couple of weeks. Alex and Nick both went for the record for the highest swing, I'll let you be the judge.

Foot Race

We visited some of John and Bei's neighbors in the old neighborhood and a couple of foot races broke out. I don't think there were any clear winners, they all looked pretty tired to me.

 

 

 

 

Grandpa, Grandma and Josh Pay a Visit

We received visitors from South Dakota over Memorial Weekend. We had fun getting caught up, and spending quality time together. Here are a few of the gathering shots, I'll follow up later with some shots of the kids going wild.

 

 

 

 

Lunch with Nick

I had lunch with Nick last Friday in the school cafeteria. We dined on Steak N Shake, and then took recess in the gymnasium since it was raining. Here are Nick and some of his classmates.

 

 

 

Rec League Softball

I brought my camera to a game last Monday, and got a few good shots. We played late and the sun set early in the game, so I didn't really get a good opportunity to take a lot of pictures. Hopefully I'll have better luck at the next one.

 

 

 

 

Our New Neighbors

Last weekend, we stopped by Rob, Mary and Will's new house a few blocks away from our own to welcome them to the neighborhood. They had been living in St. Louis, and were now returning to the Twin Cities. Welcome back, we think you'll like the neighborhood.

Tanks and Protests

I was driving home from work today and I came across this tank sitting in a Macy's parking lot. Very cool.

 

 

 

 

I drove a little further down the road and I came across this protest. I have no idea what they're protesting and really don't care, but they looked like they would make an interesting conversation piece on my blog.

Flashback 1977

This photo was taken of me and my sister Kris prior to my collision with a car on East 10th street in Sioux Falls, SD. I had minor injuries that included road rash on my back and my leg. The bike wasn't as lucky.

 

Soccer Game 6

The last game of the season, and it was a real nail biter. Our team was defeated, but only by 2 goals, the kids had a great game. As usual I was armed with my camera, so I captured a few action shots.
