Blossoms

Spring break continues. Our tree is getting new blossoms, though a couple of them seem exceptionally colorful.

 

I noticed the moon hiding above the tree, so I decided to test out my camera's zoom capabilities. Hmmmm, not bad.

A combination of warmer than usual weather, new razor scooters, and Spring Break, has driven Alex and Nick outdoors.

This is Alex and Nick with their friend Taylor back in October of 2004. She lived close to our old house, and always carried a little sunshine with her wherever she went. We miss having her for our neighbor.

Blast from the Past

I believe this picture was taken sometime in 1967. That's my uncle, Bob Harden posing with me and my brothers in our kitchen. That's me on his lap. I would have been about 4.

Photo Effects

I've never really experimented before with adding effects to pictures, but decided to give it a shot with a couple I took last weekend. I'm no expert, but I think I did ok.

Here's the original of the first shot. Nick was standing at the top of the stairs, acting casual.

Here is the edited shot. I let Nick direct me on the effects he wanted. He was interested in an older, antique look.

Here is the original of the shot of Alex. This is a freeze frame of him trying to catch a nerf football.

Here is the edited shot. I took all the color out of the background, and added some blur around the edges.

Sunday Afternoon

What a great Sunday afternoon we had. We grilled steaks, played basketball, threw frisbee, tossed a nerf football, did some skate boarding, and just had a great day. Not only that, but we also caught it on film with my new digital camera.
